GwL winter fundraising appeal raises over £21,000
We are pleased to share that our winter fundraising appeal raised more than £21,000 – surpassing our £15,000 target.
The appeal, which launched at the beginning of December and closed at the end of February, generated an incredible response from our supporters, which will directly support and strengthen our work with families bereaved by gambling-related suicide.
Demand for our family service continues to grow, with more people seeking emotional support, practical guidance, and help navigating complex processes, such as inquests, following the death of a loved one.
All funds raised from this appeal will help us sustain that support, facilitate opportunities for families to connect, and continue our engagement with policymakers to improve understanding and prevention of gambling-related harms.
Exceeding our target reflects the level of public engagement with the issue of gambling-related suicide and support for families affected by it.
Thank you to all those who donated and supported the appeal. Your contribution enables us to continue providing dedicated assistance to families and to carry forward our work to prevent further gambling-related deaths.
