GwL Parliamentary Event

March 6 @ 1:30 pm - 5:00 pm

This year’s event focus has your voices at the centre, where you can share your stories and concerns with parliamentarians in a private setting.

With the implementation of the White Paper proposals on the horizon, this is a real opportunity for you to share your thoughts and concerns to those that hold the power to make those changes. To provide some structure to the event, we will have a series of three topic tables which will focus on:

  • Prevention – including education, advertising, public health messaging.
  • Treatment – including the NHS and Third Sectors.
  • Investigations – including inquests, regulation, research.

As well as inviting MPs and Ministers, we will also be inviting experts from each of the three topic areas to provide you with further support on the day. You’re welcome to engage in whatever topic area you feel comfortable with, or all three if you’d prefer. If there is something you’re particularly keen to discuss but unsure what topic area that might fall under, do let us know.

We are pleased to confirm that the Minister for Gambling, The Rt Hon Stuart Andrew MP and shadow Minister Stephanie Peacock MP, will be joining the event to meet with you all as well as close the event with a short speech.

The GwL team will be on hand to help support you on the day and in conversations if needed, as well as guide those of particular importance to all three topic areas.

This 2-hour event will formally start at 3pm however we invite you all to join us from 1:30pm to allow time to meet other families and ask any questions you may have to the GwL team and experts who will be there to assist in conversations.

As always, this event is open for everyone to attend who would like to. To confirm you attendance, please complete the form below by Wednesday 7th February:
